This will be the second time Borchard has played with the Sox. He made his major league debut with the Sox in 2002, hitting .222 (8-36) with two home runs and five RBIs in 16 games.
Borchard was struggling at the plate with the Knights, hitting .224 (30-134) with three home runs and 20 RBIs in 34 games. He was sidelined early in the season with a wrist injury.
It is not yet known whether or not Borchard will be in the White Sox line up tonight against the Detroit Tigers.
