Wunsch: DL May Be Around the Corner

(SN Report #528) - A back injury White Sox' reliever Kelly Wunsch suffered against the San Francisco Giants last Wednesday may land him on the 15-day disabled list as soon as today.

The 30-year-old Wunsch hasn't pitched since Wednesday, and according to manager Jerry Manuel, if he isn't ready to pitch on Monday against the Red Sox, a decision will likely be made.

Possible replacements for Wunsch would be lefties Arnaldo Munoz and Mike Porzio and righty Matt Ginter.

In 15 2/3 innings pitched, Wunsch has a 1.15 ERA, while striking out 12 in 22 games.
