Loaiza, who is now 12-5 with a 2.16 ERA, gave up one run in seven innings. Loaiza struck out seven and walked one, throwing 93 pitches. Gary Glover and Billy Koch each threw a scoreless inning in relief.
It all started with a leadoff triple by Saturday's hero Tony Graffanino, a RBI-sacrifice fly by Aaron Rowand and solo homer by Thomas, giving the Sox the 2-0 lead. For Graffanino, it was one of two triples and three hits in the game.
Three more runs in both the fourth and sixth innings put them up 10-1. The Tigers lone run came on a Eric Munson fifth-inning homer.
Along Thomas, Ordonez, Konerko and Jose Valentin also homered. With his 3-4 day, Konerko is batting .213 on the season. Ordonez, 3-3, is at .298.
The Sox will start a two-game set against the Indians at home on Monday at 7:05 p.m. CT, with lefties Mike Porzio and Terry Mulholland going head-to-head. The game will be televised on WCIU.
