This is the second All-American award for Kuhn this year, who was recently named to the Pro-Line Athletic/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) 2008 All-American third team. The senior was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 15th round of the Major League Baseball Draft earlier this month.

The Louisville, Ky., native, earned all-BIG EAST first-team honors last month and finished his Mountaineer career leading the team with a .424 batting average. He was the first player in school history to record more than 100 hits in a season, registering 101 in 2008.

The shortstop holds the WVU record for career games played (220), career RBIs (188), career triples (16) and season (71) and career runs scored (219). Kuhn played in and started every game of his four-year Mountaineer career.

Kuhn is the sixth Mountaineer in school history to be named to the ABCA All-American team joining, Joe McNamee (1998), Mark Landers (1994), Bill Marovic (1964), Joe Hatalla (1962) and Ed Tekavec (1961).
